Preventing Child Tooth Decay – The Easy Way!
Children don’t always brush properly, and sometimes even meticulous brushing doesn’t clean the grooves and contours of teeth. If acids and bacteria build-up, plaque will form and lead to decay. Any amount of decay is permanent damage for a tooth and it will need a filling. To keep all this from happening, we recommend one application of a sealant to their teeth.
Here is the quick and easy treatment. All the teeth are cleaned and sterilized. Our dentist applies a thin, clear plastic coat to each tooth and then bonds the sealant with a curing light. And that’s it! The procedure takes only a few minutes. Your children will feel very comfortable with this effective treatment as there are no shots or drilling, and all tooth structure remains intact.
This is one of the best preventive treatments children and adolescents can have to maintain their natural teeth for a lifetime!
